New: Control Your Payment Fees to Keep More of What You Earn

You can now adjust your payment fees on every invoice you send through Invoice Simple Payments.  

Previously, you had two options: absorb the full fee or pass 100% of it to your customer. Now, you can choose any percentage to pass on—giving you the flexibility to make the right decision for every invoice and every customer.

How Payment Fees Work in Invoice Simple  

Controlling your payment fees is designed to be simple and to integrate with your existing workflow.  

You can adjust the payment fee in two ways:  

Set the fee on the invoice: When you create an invoice, you will see a payment fee slider. Use the slider to adjust how much of the fee is passed to your customer (from 0% to 100%).  

Set the fee amount in Global Settings: You can also set your preferred percentage split for payment fees in Global Settings on your account. When set here, the fee amount will apply to all your invoices. However, you can still adjust the fee on an individual invoice at any time.

How to Get Started 

It only takes a few steps to get started with controlling your payment fees:  

  1. Turn on payments: Enable Invoice Simple Payments in your account.  
  1. Create your invoice: Add your services or products as usual. 
  1. Set your fee preference: Choose how much of the fee to pass to your customers on the invoice or in your account’s Global Settings.

Do I have to pass fees on to my customers?
No. You can choose to cover the full fee, pass it entirely to your customer, or split it at any percentage in between.
Can I change the fee amount for each invoice?
Yes. Payment fees can be adjusted on every invoice, giving you flexibility for different customers and situations.
Does this change the processing rates?
No. Processing rates stay the same. This feature simply gives you control over how those fees are handled.
Is this feature available globally?
Yes. Payment fees are available to Invoice Simple users worldwide with access to payments.
Will this affect how my customers pay?
No. Customers can still pay quickly and securely as usual. This only affects how the processing cost is shared.
